Fellow Washington County Democrats!
As many of you know, we absolutely must begin NOW to "rally troops" and secure votes to keep a Democratic Governor as well as take back the State House and Senate. We have to understand the importance of the 2010 elections as those elected to the state General Assembly will participate in redistricting. If we as Democrats don't get out the vote, we could see state and congressional districts shaped in such a way that would exclude the Democratic voice. Northeast Tennessee has traditionally voted Republican, but let's stop saying this fact in a defeatist way -- let's say this fact as fuel to enact change.
Saying all of this, I urge all Washington County Democrats to please share with me your thoughts and ideas as to building momentum in our party. There are some things that we need from you:
Your time (phonebanking, canvassing, etc.)
Your money (If we intend to win in 2010, candidates need your financial support)
Your expertise (bloggers, writers for editorials, event planners for fundraisers, etc.)
Let's not let this opportunity to win and win big in 2010 pass us by! Please share your thoughts with me, and let's take the Washington County Party to victory
